I have been going to the young adult Sunday School class at FBC Snyder for the past couple of weeks now, and we started a new study called God as He Longs For You to See Him by Chip Ingram. I did not really know what to expect, but I am so glad that I have started this. I am actually a chapter or two behind our class discussions, but I have decided to go through this book slowly, so I can soak in all this GREAT information! Chip wrote the book to tell about a few of God's awesome characteristics and how we should view God the way he wants us to see Him. There is no doubt in my mind that God is using this study to speak to me. I'm a VERY organized person, and I want to know the plans for everything beforehand. But, the deal is, God knows what is best for me, and I am learning how to give EVERYTHING to him. By all means, it is NOT easy for me, but He is revealing to me that it is just the way it is supposed to be. He has a plan for me, and I know that he reveal himself to me throughout my journey as a believer. I highly recommend this book! :)
As the countdown to school continues, so does the countdown for moving back to Snyder. Today, my family came up to Lubbock, and we started moving a lot of the furniture out of the apartment. We decided to do this so we would not have to do it all in one day. My mom owns a rent house in Snyder that Ali and I are going to live in, so they just took all the furniture over there. Here are some pictures of my sad and BARE apartment! I almost feel like I am in a prison or something because there is not a whole lot left here!
Before I leave, I want to ask you to pray for a friend of my GREAT friend Natalie. I have never met him, but this story is serious. Keith was at a bachelor's party for his future brother-in-law (who is Natalie's brother's best friend), and he fell from the 7th floor of a parking garage and hit a tree on the way down. He has a precious wife who is pregnant, and their first child is due in 6 weeks. Pray that Keith comes out of a coma soon, and that his vitals continue to get back to normal. Also pray for the doctors and that they have the wisdom and guidance to treat Keith successfully. You can read the whole story at her blog, or if you have Facebook, you can get updates here.
Hope everyone had a great Easter with their families! :)
